Looking forward to hearing more about this textural WW Elizabeth. In the meantime it looks like some very creative darning … as in, can’t match the yarn so let’s go wild?

What an absolutely creative, unique photo Elizabeth! I love the texture, the colours, and the statement – who even knows how to darn these days?

This is wonderful! Very much my style of darning … back in the day when I did darn. Sort of. It reminds me of the time that Douglas asked if I could darn a hole (large, admittedly) in the sleeve of a Scottish cashmere sweater and I did … the sweater was soft tan and I darned it in a shade very much like yours, Elizabeth. It took me a long time, too. D was surprised (take that as a euphemism) but being D he wears it still!

Love it. That’s sort of how my own darning looks. 😆 Is that cat hair clinging to the wool?

Did Mum do that? Is that the story? ❤

Marvellous. Now I want to know the story behind the garment. How did it get worn out?
