A child’s face speaks to the magic of Christmas … and Santa Claus … while others are distracted by the pageantry. Gorgeous, simply gorgeous, WW Elizabeth!

You absolutely captured the magic and wonder in that face Elizabeth!

I like how the child has been given a toy to amuse them during the ‘event’ but clearly doesn’t need it. The perfection of that face. And the earnest expression, such a contrast to the distracted crowd behind. Is that a fiddle or guitar being played? Also love the blasts of light and frenetic feel. Again, a beautiful contrast to the intensity of that child’s *world* at that moment.

A guitar, though there were also fiddles and bodhran drums and a hobby horse, which I longed to capture in a photo but couldn’t get the angle right without being disruptive, and had to keep an eye on the child who wasn’t quite as earnest and contemplative as he appears to be here 🙂
